Activities

• INA Academy participates in the Stability Pact’s eSEE initiative (electronic South East Europe) as a mechanism of support, an advisor and a dissemination node of innovation for the Western Balkan countries. The eSEE initiative is a mechanism that monitors implementation of the eSEE Agenda and Agenda+ for the development of the information Society. Representatives of all 9 signatory Ministries of ICT or similar participate in the eSEE Working Group, along with the UNDP and INA Academy.

• INA Academy is a founding member of the Centre for eGovernance Development for SE Europe  that was launched on 14 January 2008, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Co-founding members of the Centre  include the Government of Slovenia, UNDP, USAID, European Foundation for Information Society and e-Government, Microsoft, SRC, and Siemens.

• INA Academy participates in the program of the International Telecommunications Union, “Centres of Excellence” and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Program for Central and East Europe since 2003. In November 2007, INA Academy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ITU signating the Academy as the Training Node for ICT and Regulatory issues in SE Europe for the next programming period.

• INA Academy initiated in 2005 the institution of bi-annual meetings of the Heads of SE Europe Communications Regulatory Authorities, the “SEE Regulatory Brainstorming Sessions”. The meetings are hosted within the INA Academy network of nodes and specifically by one National Regulator each time.

• INA Academy initiated bSEE initiative (Broadband South Eastern Europe) aiming to increase deployment  and usage of broadband in the region. INA Academy is a non voting member of the bSEE Task Force, the only non-governmental member, and supports the bSEE Task Force Coordinator.

• INA Academy is the Technical Advisor in ICT issues for the Business Advisory Council (BAC) for South Eastern Europe.

• INA Academy co-produced in collaboration with the UNDP Regional Support Centre NATIONAL INFORMATION SOCIETY POLICIES eSEEurope Common Guidelines upon a request by the Stability Pact.
